This week I wanted to pay tribute to "Winnie" who was owned Judy the receptionist at Brian Stewart's Vet Clinic.  Winnie had been diagnosed with Addison disease, it seemed he was responding well to the treatment, but last week he developed terrible back pain. Winnie was such a beautiful dog with a big gentle soul. we tried very hard to find the source of the pain, but it was elusive. Even with High doses of methadone, and Tramol, Winnie was still in a lot of pain.  Winnie was very Brave, but it was heart rendering to see him in visible pain from the back injury and Wednesday the hardest decision was made to let Winnie go and he was put to sleep.  We are all very sad for the loss.
